Spring Updates!

Lifting my partner Robin into a flying backbend during my Level 3 test-out.

Hello and Happy Spring! I hope you are doing well and managing the ice/slush/snow situation that is March in Minnesota. My sister shared a great quote with me by Hal Borland - “no winter lasts forever; no spring skips it's turn.” Between the increased sunlight and the sound of robins, I know that this is true.

I have been busy the last couple of months absorbing, practicing and expanding my curiosity into the history and practice of Yoga and Thai Yoga Bodywork. I started the year by going to the Hygge Retreat put on by Boreal Bliss Retreats. It was glorious! The location was of course, perfection (evidenced by the sunrise photo above); the Boreal Bliss Retreat team was welcoming, inspiring, and fun (like silly fun, which is my favorite), and the retreaters were so lovely and open to learning and experiencing Thai Yoga Bodywork.

In addition to teaching yoga to individual clients, I am also teaching at Yoga Sanctuary and Vertical Endeavors which have allowed me to reach outside of my comfort zone and find my yoga teacher voice (fun fact - it turns out, my teacher voice is the same as my regular voice!). I love the community that these two studios have created and I am so grateful to be a part of them.

And, in addition to continuing my yoga education, I just completed my Level 3 Thai Yoga Bodywork training taught by Tanya Boigenzahn and Devanadi School of Yoga and Wellness!! The complexity and specificity of Thai Yoga Bodywork continues amazes me. It is an incredible modality of bodywork and I really hope that everyone can understand and enjoy its benefits! I cannot wait to show you what I have learned!

Because many of us continue to feel stuck, I am also excited to offer a few springtime service packages!! Check them out!!

Hope to see in the sunshine soon!!

Take care,

Alison
